Terms of Service
The agreement governing your use of the Luna platform
Last updated: 19 March 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and Luna Cybersecurity Platform ("Luna", "we", "us", "our"), based at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Luna platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
If you are using Luna on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. The service
Luna provides an external vulnerability scanning and management platform that allows you to:
- Add targets (domains, IP addresses, hostnames) for scanning
- Run vulnerability scans against your external attack surface
- View, manage, and report on vulnerability findings
- Schedule automated scans
- Access the platform via the web interface or API
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the platform at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.
3. Account registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) before creating API keys
- You must notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Luna only to scan infrastructure that you own or have explicit written authorisation to test. Specifically, you must not:
- Scan targets you do not own or have permission to scan
- Use the platform to launch attacks, exploit vulnerabilities, or cause disruption
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan restrictions, or security controls
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
- Share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorised parties
- Use the platform in any way that violates applicable law
- Resell access to the platform without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
5. Plans, billing, and payment
Free trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. Trial accounts are subject to reduced limits on targets and scans. We may modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.
Paid plans
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. All prices are listed in US dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes.
- Plan limits (targets, scans, users) are enforced automatically
- You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from the Billing page
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
- Cancellation stops future charges but does not generate a refund for the current period
Target lock period
Targets that have been scanned are locked for 30 days. During this period, they count toward your target limit even if deleted. This prevents abuse of the scanning system.
Refunds
We do not offer routine refunds. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact [email protected] and we will review your case.
6. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you provide to Luna (targets, scan configurations, reports). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data.
You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to provide any data you submit to the platform, including target information.
7. Intellectual property
All rights in the Luna platform, including its software, interface, documentation, branding, and content, remain with Luna. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the platform as a subscriber.
8. API usage
API access is available on paid plans. Use of the API is subject to:
- Rate limits as documented and enforced per plan
- The same acceptable use restrictions as the web interface
- API key permissions you configure when creating a key
We may revoke API access if usage patterns indicate abuse or risk to the platform.
9. Availability and support
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
Support is available via email at [email protected]. Response times depend on your plan tier.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Luna is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
- We do not warrant that the platform will detect all vulnerabilities or that scan results will be error-free
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Luna harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the platform
- Your breach of these Terms
- Scanning targets you were not authorised to scan
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
12. Termination
- You may close your account at any time from the Settings page or by contacting us
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms
- Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately
- We will delete your account data within a reasonable period after closure, except where retention is required by law
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
